Radioul britanic anunta primele premii muzicale pe care le ofera in indelungata sa istorie. Cand vor avea loc BBC Music Awards si care e ideea din spatele proiectului, o premiera in Marea Britanie?

Am putea spune ca la acest capitol le-am luat-o inainte britanicilor, pentru ca radioul national ofera premii de ceva vreme, pe cand BBC Music Awards e o premiera pe insula, fiind primul eveniment la care banii vin fix din taxa radio platita de cetatenii britanici.

The ceremony will feature live performances to look back at the past 12 months, and will include the categories British Artist of the Year, International Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.

It will air live on BBC One, and will receive coverage on Radio 1, Radio 2 and The One Show. BBC One controller Charlotte Moore said: “I think this is a fantastic opportunity for BBC One to collaborate with Radio 1 and Radio 2 and host this unique celebration of music in the UK. The BBC has always been a destination for new and established musical talent, and by bringing the two together the BBC Music Awards promises to give viewers and listeners an unforgettable night.” The ceremony was announced as the BBC launched the corporation’s new BBC Music strategy today.

Premiile vor fi oferite in cadrul unui show ce va avea loc pe 11 decembrie la Earl’s Court, iar prezentatori vor fi carismaticul om de radio Chris Evans, figura emblematica a postului, si Fearne Cotton, o alta voce si prezenta apreciata a BBC. Premiile vor cuprinde numeroase showuri, dar si colaborari speciale intre artisti si Orchestra BBC, in timp ce BBC Radio 1 si 2,  dar si The One Show vor prezenta imagini din culise. 

BBC Music Awards va fi rivalul Brit Awards, care pana acum au dominat industria muzicala britanica si au facut niste alegere foarte bune cand vine vorba de Critics\’ Choice Award, oferind premiul lui Tom Odell, Emeli Sande sau Jessie J.
