Pentru cei care nu au ascultat inca piesa, va spun ca este o balada plangacioasa, dar reusita in acelasi timp. Clipul descrie perfect tema baladei si transpune versurile excelent. Piesa Wish You Were Here este aleasa pentru a fi promovata ca cel mai recent single extras de pe albumul Goodbye Lullaby, un album la care Avril a lucrat cu multa dragoste :).
