Coldplay au facut un anunt cel putin surprinzator. Din felul in care solistul trupei, Chris Martin, s-a exprimat lasa sa se inteleaga ca urmatorul lor disc este ultimul.

Head Full of Dreams este titlul materialului la care britanicii au inceput sa lucreze inca dupa terminarea albumului Ghost Stories, iar Chris Martin l-a comparat cu ultimul volum din Harry Potter. Evident, e posibil ca exprimarea sa fi fost pur metaforica, iar liderul trupei sa anunte incheierea unui capitol inceput cu Ghost Stories si inceperea unuia nou cu urmatorul material pe care il vor lansa.

We haven\’t told anyone this, but we\’re making an album called \’A Head Full of Dreams\’. We\’re right in the middle of it. It’s our seventh thing and the way we look at it is like the last \’Harry Potter\’ book or something like that.

Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something. It was great to go from \’Ghost Stories\’ to go right back in the studio. Now we\’re making thing that sounds different and it’s a very fun time to be in our band. I have to think of it as the final thing we\’re doing or else we wouldn\’t put everything into it.

La inceputul acestui an, Coldplay au venit cu un nou material de studio, Ghost Stories, un disc de pe care cel mai de succes single a fost A Sky Full of Stars. Albumul a mai fost promovat si prin piesele Magic sau True Love, iar stilul a fost un pic diferit fata de ceea ce auzeam de obicei de la ea, poate si din cauza divortului lui Chris Martin de actrita Gwyneth Paltrow.
