Nicki Minaj si Sia sunt doua dintre numele cu care Guetta a decis sa lucreze din nou, alaturi de britanica Emeli Sande, Nico & Vinz care au dominat topurile muzicale cu Am I Wrong sau Magic si al sau Rude. The way that I’m making my album is ultra-traditional. I’m composing with piano, guitar, acoustic instruments, and then completely at the end when I had 100 songs, only then did I pick the best 15 or 18 and turn them into dance tracks. “I could have chosen to repeat the style that has become so successful for me, but I wanted to grow as a producer and push myself to the limit. Try new ideas. Get out of my comfort zone. Create songs that stand up whether played by a DJ, a rock band or an orchestra,” said Guetta. “I worked with piano, violins, guitars and blended them with electronic elements. It’s also my most personal album lyrically, which is why I called it Listen. Dance too, but really it’s from the heart.”

Precedentul album semnta de David Guetta, Nothing But the Beat, a ajuns pe locul 5 in Billboard 200 si a inclus hiturile Turn Me On cu Nicki Minaj, Where Them Girls At, si Titanium, piesa cu Sia care inca se mai asculta.
