De vorba cu… Yves Larock (interviu Monden.info)

Mai jos gasiti interviul cu el, atat in varianta originala, in limba engleza, cat si tradus si adaptat in romana pentru intelesul tuturor.

1. We thought all the world’s DJs were born in Holland and Germany. How did you start your career in Switzerland? You know in Switzerland there are Banks but no music business that’s why I’ve done music since 1988 music just for fun, and one day I’ve decided to try to sign a song of me, it take around 4 year and finally after more than 200 songs, Zookey comes out and my career began.

2. What did Africanism All Stars mean to you? I was happy … the fact that Map Dance signed the track and then Defected, Spinnin and Ministry of Sound came on board was great for me ! Then Africanism also licensed the track for France so all Europe was covered.

3. What was it like to work alongside Bob Sinclar and David Guetta in Africanism All Stars? The Zookey track was finalized and Bob Sinclar liked it as I mentioned before. He asked to do a Remix and licensed the track for France so that he could insert it on his compilation Africanism.

4. What is the most important message that you are trying to get across with your music? Ho, you know we just make dance music, so for a message it’s not the right music. no message just fun.

5. You have thousands of friends on MySpace. What other social networks do you use? I use Facebook and Twitter….. all the social networks. I must admit that I am not a computer geek. I love producing music …. and social networks are great to let all my friends and loyal fans follow my music.

6. What part of the DJ life do you love the most? See people have pleasure on the music that I play. Beeing in a club or festival and seeing people smile or laugh it a fantastic thing !

7. What did Manego mean for you? After a success like Rise Up, your ego can become so big and that’s no good, that’s why I’ve made an album about a Man and his Ego. Listen to Glory, it resume this album.

8. Collaborations always add flavor and you seem to like all kinds of condiments. Who would you like to work with in the future? I’ve worked a lot with male voice these past 4 years, that’s why I’ve just finished a track with Trisha called „Until Tomorrow” and another one with Tara McDonald „Girl” cause I want now female voices, and in the future let’s see what’s happen , maybe with E.T..

9. This year you remixed Akcent’s “That’s my name”. How did that happen? What Romanian artists do you know? My Romanian Label Roton, ask me to do a remix of it, I like the track so I’ve did it. I know Akcent of course but also Inna, Edward Maya. I believe that Romania has a feeling for music and music is an important thing for Romanian people.

10. Are you working on a new album? I’ve just started the composition of my new album but it’s just the beginning and I don’t really know in which direction I want to go, but it will not be under Yves Larock, cause it will be an album more experimental between dance & rock. I am also working a lot with a friend and very talented guy called Tony Sylla.

11. If you have a message for your Romanian fans, now’s the time to confess. 🙂 I just want to thanks my fans in Romania for the support and I hope that they will still continue to follow me. Peace, Yves.

Mai jos aveti varianta in limba romana:

Apoi Africanism a licentiat piesa in Franta deci toata Europa a fost acoperita…

3. Cum a fost sa lucrezi impreuna cu Bob Sinclar si David Guetta in Africanism All Stars?

Cu cine ti-ar placea sa lucrezi in viitor?

9. Anul acesta ai remixat piesa That’s my name de la Akcent. Cum s-a intamplat asta?

Peace, Yves.
