Avem un interviu exclusiv cu Sander van Doorn. DJ-ul va ajunge cu turneul mondial Eleve11 in concert la Bucuresti la Arenele Romane peste cateva zile, pe 4 noiembrie.
Hi! What are your expectations regarding your Romanian visit?
Of course I am really excited and I hope I can drive the Eleve11 BMW myself ;).
What do you think of the Romanian clubbing scene? Do you know any Romanian artists?
I know that Electronic Dance Music is getting bigger everywhere in the world because of artist like Inna who make it sound more poppy and easier to listen for everybody and that is a good thing!
What should your fans expect from your gig in Bucharest at Arenele Romane?
Well, since it is an Eleve11 clubtour I will be playing a lot of my new tracks which I really hope you all like!
Eleven 11, your album is praised by everyone! How long did you work on it and how did it went?
I have been working on the album for about 1,5 years all together. I really wanted it to be an artist album instead of a club album with more vocal tracks and I am happy with the result and the great feedback it got.
What’s your favorite track on Eleven 11 and why?
That is like asking parents who their favorite child is, haha.. I think they all have something special in their own way and sometimes I prefer to play that song and then the next day a different one is the favorite of the day.
What are the 3 songs that are always in your setlist?
Koko, Love is Darkness and Cirez Diddy \’Coming Off (Marco Machiavelli Mashup).
How important is Top 100 DJ Mag 2011 for you and where do you see yourself in it?
Of course every artist dreams to be the new number 1 DJ but there are so many great DJ’s out there that it is hard to make a top100 of all DJ¹s. It¹s like Armin said in a Dutch TV show last week: when there is a marathon it is clear who crosses the finish first, but how can you decide who is the best DJ of the world? I am really happy and thankful that there we\’re so many people voting for me; it’s a great feeling to know that so many people love your music and that is more important than any chart position.
At one point, your fans thought that you were a part of the trance scene. What made you change up your style?
Well, I have always been known for colliding styles and sometimes my records and sets are more trancy, sometimes more progressive or even techy. I just play the music I like and I love to see that my fans love it too!
