Dr. Dre a lansat albumul Compton: A Soundtrack
Fanii stiu ca de la Dr. Dre ar fi trebuit sa vina Detox, insa rapperul a anuntat ca proiectul respectiv nu mai exista, in schimb a fost inspirat de filmul Straight Outta Compton si povestea N.W.A. asa ca a inceput sa lucreze imediat la ceea ce putem asculta astazi. “I decided during principal photography [for Straight Outta Compton] that I was leaving the set, coming to the studio, and I felt myself just so inspired by the movie that I started recording an album,” he said. “I started recording a soundtrack. I kept it under wraps, and now the album is finished.” “It’s an inspired-by album, it’s inspired by Straight Outta Compton. I’m really proud of this, I’m excited about it.”
“This my time to get it right. All my friends came in. We all came together to build this thang. It’s gonna be my grand finale. The record is crazy.”

This is something you’re not gonna hear many artists say. The reason why Detox didn’t come out is because I didn’t like it,” he revealed. “It wasn’t good. The record, it just wasn’t good. I’ma keep it all the way 1000 with you. Seriously, I worked my ass off. I don’t think I did a good enough job, and I couldn’t do that to my fans, and I couldn’t do that to myself, to be perfectly honest with you. I just wasn’t feeling it.”
